Barbara Nambuya
Co-Founder and Head of Projects
Barbara is a finance professional, an educator and community researcher. She qualified as a teacher before embarking on a career in finance and also holds an MSc in Audit Management & Consultancy. Barbara has a wide range of experience having worked in various roles starting off briefly in banking and later microfinance, retail, and charity sectors. She is very passionate about her role supporting women & communities thrive, having worked for over 18 years (paid & voluntary roles) with women’s community groups & organisations in the Microfinance & charity sectors. She also has a level 2 certificate: Supporting Victims/Survivors of Economic Abuse in developing their financial capability. She has done several other trainings in line with her work. She is also the Treasurer for Mama Health and Poverty Partnership (MHaPP). She enjoys cooking, reading, connecting with friends/family & volunteering.
Rose Kirunda
Co-Founder and Head of Strategy & development
A social worker by profession and works within the Adult Social Care Sector. She is a motivated community worker who has acquired vast knowledge and skills working alongside volunteers in different Charity Organisations that engage with BME communities. She is passionate about her role working with women and supporting them to fulfil their potential.
